The 6th Forum of Russian Language Teachers "Back to the Future - Learning Without Borders and Screens" was held online in the UK. The forum was dedicated to the issues of modern education in the light of the ongoing global changes and challenges. 38 experts from various cities of the UK, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belgium and Germany joined the discussion.

The representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK Anton Chesnokov thanked the teachers for their colossal work in transferring Russian language training to a distanced-learning format. Chesnokov also spoke about Rossotrudnichestvo’s projects aimed at supporting educational associations engaged in teaching the Russian language abroad and the planned transfers of educational, methodological, and fiction literature by the organization.

Participants of the forum discussed the difficulties faced by the teachers in the new distance learning environment and proposed solutions for adapting existing and specially created programs and materials to increase their effectiveness when used both online and offline.

Forum participants highly appreciated the relevance and significance of the issues discussed at the event and noted that the epidemiological situation and the subsequent closure of schools presented additional incentives and opportunities for the development of modern education.

The forum was organized by Baltika educational centre with the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK and several educational organizations.
