An online meeting between twin cities took place on International Day of Peace

The Coventry Association for International Friendship and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK invited representatives of Russian and British twin cities to join a meeting dedicated to the International Day of Peace.

The meeting was opened by the Councillor of the Coventry City Council Abdul Salam Khan and the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Great Britain and Northern Ireland Anton Chesnokov, who noted that the twinning movement provides an important example of peaceful interaction between countries and people at all levels.

The participants shared information about upcoming events, which are scheduled to be held in the framework of the twinning movement, and discussed the main areas of work. The meeting also presented the structure of the twin cities’ appeal to the UN, which is planned to be sent to the organization in run up to its birthday.
