‘Protection of children's rights is one Rossotrudnichestvo’s priority areas’ - Primakov

The head of the Agency and the Children’s Rights Ombudsman discussed consolidation of efforts aimed at child protection.

The meeting discussed the return of children from war zones in the Middle East among other issues. Anna Kuznetsova noted that interaction and exchange of best practices with colleagues from the CIS countries is an important resource for Russia in the field of child protection. Yevgeny Primakov supported the Children's Rights Ombudsman and stressed that protection of children's rights is one of the priority areas of Rossotrudnichestvo’s activities.

As part of the meeting, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Ombudsman discussed the international development of the ‘Hot Heart’ project, which has been implemented since 2019 with participation of foreign countries. Anna Kuznetsova noted that further development of this initiative will make it possible to learn about heroic deeds of not just Russian children, but also their foreign peers.

The meeting resulted in agreements between the Children's Rights Ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova and the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov concerning cooperation on several issues and assistance in the implementation of international projects aimed at child protection.
