Association of the Russian-speaking community “SVOI” celebrated its anniversary in London

“SVOI” association was set up in 2010. Since then, it serves as a platform for the Russian speakers to meet, socialize and make new friends. Various master-classes, lectures, and events are regularly held in the framework of the club’s meetings. “SVOI” is not just a regular meeting place. It is an association of caring people who are ready to help newly arrived compatriots as well as Russian-speakers who have been living in the UK for a while. The club does a lot of important work aimed at helping Russian children who undergo medical treatment in the UK.

The celebratory evening was attended by members of the club born in Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine, Estonia, Russia and other countries. The representative of Rossotrudnichestvo, the head of the press service of the Russian Embassy, representatives of the Coordination Council of Russian compatriots in the UK and “Znaniye” Education Fund congratulated the members of the Club with kind words and warm wishes. London Russian Choir, dance studio "SVOI dancing" as well as poets and musicians joined in with memorable performances.

Members of "SVOI" club made a significant contribution to the unity of the Russian-speaking community. The volunteers of the club participate in major events held in London such as "Maslenitsa", "Sabantuy", "Day of Family, Love and Fidelity", "Stars of Albion" contest, "Immortal regiment" and many others.
