The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London hosted the spring round of Tournament of Cities, an International Mathematical Olympiad for children aged between 13 and 18 years old.

Students with the best results will receive an invitation to the tournament’s summer conference.

The Tournament of Cities is an international mathematical Olympiad, which has been held since 1980. Schoolchildren from more than 100 cities in over 25 countries of Europe, Asia, South and North America, Australia and Oceania participate in it each year.

The goal of the Tournament is to identify talented and mathematically gifted children. Unlike most other mathematical olympiads, Tournament of Cities is oriented not on sporting success, but on in-depth work on the tasks, thus developing the children’s research skills. The Olympiad is written and bilingual. Tasks are designed for children 13-18 years old, but younger children can also participate in the contest, as a special age coefficient is applied to the results.

In London, the Tournament of Cities has been held since 2014.
