The Association of Russian Language Teachers in the UK (Russian Teachers Group) held a meeting to discuss the results of exams in Russian as a foreign language, as well as to exchange experience and educational resources.
During the meeting, experts shared statistics on the number of students who passed the exam and the distribution of grades. The meeting also discussed the structure, principles and main difficulties of the updated exam, as well as the most common mistakes and difficulties. Teachers shared the sources used in training, and proposed creating an open access resource database for all members of the Association. Teachers talked about methods used to maintain a high motivation for learning the Russian language against the background of constantly increasing requirements for the level of knowledge and the increasing difficulty of the exam.
