London School of Mathematics and Programming celebrated the beginning of a new academic year at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo by holding a traditional mathematical competition ‘Postcard’. More than a hundred children aged between 7 and 16 years old attended the competition.

Depending on their age, the children were given 1.5 or 2 hours to solve 7 problems, as well as 3 attempts to present each answer and justify their decision to the judge. All participants sought to get to the judges as soon as possible and share their answers, while the fastest managed to solve and “defend” all of the tasks in time.

Thanks to the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK, bronze, silver, and gold medalists of the ‘Postcard’ will receive scholarships-discounts for mathematics classes at the London School of Mathematics and Programming this academic year.
