Valentina Polukhina was awarded with Rossotrudnichestvo’s award for strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between nations, contributing to the popularization of the Russian language, Russian science and culture in the world. The award was presented by the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK Anton Chesnokov.
For many years, Valentina Polukhina, an honorary professor at Keele University, has studied the work of Joseph Brodsky. For the past few years, Valentina Platonovna has been transferring the Brodsky archives to the Foundation for the creation of the Brodsky Museum in St. Petersburg. Polukhina is the author of over 20 books and 100 articles. The professor’s work is highly appreciated by specialists from all over the world and personally by His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent. Last year Valentina Polukhina was awarded with the Russian state award, the Pushkin Medal.
