The Second Eurasian Women's Forum came to an end in St. Petersburg. Representatives of 120 countries took part in the event this year. The United Kingdom was represented by the head of the Russian school "Znaniye" (London) Aina Mamaeva.

Speaking at the forum, President Vladimir Putin spoke about the most important role of women in the modern world and about the measures that Russia is taking to support them. "Special attention is paid to protection of motherhood and childhood, support of women in Russia. And the attitude towards women in our country, I would not be afraid to say this – is truly special. Heartfelt, deep, sincere," - said Vladimir Vladimirovich.

The official programme of the forum was opened by the plenary session "Women for Global Security and Development" chaired by the Head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko. Various discussion platforms, thematic sessions and presentations were held at the forum, as well as an exhibition of projects "Made in Russia: export by women's hands".
