«St. George’s Ribbon» campaign launched in the UK

April 24 marked the launch of the «St. George's Ribbon» campaign. Public project, which was initiated in Russia in 2005, quickly gained popularity both domesically and internationally.
This year in Great Britain, the campaign was initiated by the Bureau of Russian-Speaking Volunteers. Young people - Russian and British –  were distributing ribbons in the famous Piccaddily street in the heart of London and told about its significance.

"Europe should not forget about the sacrifices that were made, about the price at which the victory over fascism was won," says the director of the Bureau of Russian-Speaking Volunteers and the organizer of the London campaign, Ekaterina Chernyaeva.
