Non-profit non-governmental organization The Battle of Stalingrad Foundation (Volgograd) and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo presented a historical and educational project “Stalingrad in British History”.

The London-based exposition told the story of the Battle of Stalingrad and presented unique materials showing cooperation and solidarity of the British people with Stalingrad. The UK is the only country in the world, which organized a massive popular movement to collect donations for the destroyed Stalingrad during the Second World War. Residents of more than 300 UK towns helped Stalingrad during the difficult war years.

Vice-chairman of the Coventry city council (twin city of Volgograd) Abdul Salam Khan and secretaries of the Association of International Friendship Coventry Linda and David Hirons were among the guests of honour at the memorable event.
