A poetry evening led by Boris Svobodin (Burlyaev) and Dmitry Devdariani took place at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London. Literary works were performed not only by the authors themselves, but also by actors of the Theater of Russian Classics. In the course of the event the guests heard music, saw projections and heard poems expressing a spectrum of emotions and states of mind.
Students of a new course "Actor-reader" at the Theater of Russian Classics, which was held for the first time this year, also participated in the event. Annette Robinson from the UK, who is interested in learning the Russian language and culture, played the saxophone and Russian sang lyrical songs.
The Theater of Russian Classics directed by Dmitry Devdariani has existed for about three years and staged four performances. Currently, the team is actively preparing for the production of Little Tragedies by Alexander Pushkin and is holding its first master class on stage speech and acting skills.
