Over 1000 foreign nationals from 54 countries took part in a competition dedicated to Pushkin

In the run up to the 220th jubilee of Alexander Pushkin, Rossotrudnichestvo organized an international poetry contest “Ay da Pushkin!”. The competition was attended by over 1000 foreigners from 54 countries. The youngest participant is only 4 years old, and the oldest is 78. Most videos were sent from Greece.

Under the terms of the competition, participants had to read their own poems in Russian written in the style of Pushkin's verse.

Participants posted videos of their works on social media with hashtags #Пушкин220, #Pushkin220, #idaPushkin, #АйдаПушкин и #почитаемпушкина.

Three participants – from China, South Ossetia and India – became the winners of the competition. Their videos are posted on the social media networks of the Agency.

Videos with the most interesting participants will also be posted on Rossotrudnichestvo’s social media platforms throughout June.
