Piano Concert by Laurie Blundell in London: Gurdjieff and Hartman

The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London hosted a piano concert performed by Laurie Blundell. The prodramme was selected from hundreds of musical compositions created by George Gurdjieff and Thomas de Hartmann during the First World War and the 1917 revolution.

The programme included "Meditation", "Greek song", "Tibetan melody" and other works, some of which reflect the traditions of Central Asia and the Russian Orthodox Church.

Laurie Blundell is a graduate of Trinity College and the Guildhall School of Music, specialising in the works of Gurdjieff and Hartmann, as well as Bach and Mozart. His teachers were outstanding pianists, including Douglas Finch, Yonty Solomon and Nelly Ben-Or. Laurie taught at the Guildhall School of Music, International Summer School at Dartington, and the City University of London.

The concert was organized by the Temple Gallery.
