Surgut Theatre performed in London for the first time

Surgut Theatre presented the drama Stolen Happiness at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London. The performance is the winner of the Luspekaev’s Open Theatre Festival “Lady luck” held in the city of Lugansk.

Stolen happiness is an eternal story about a love triangle, duty and doomed passion. Based on the play by Ivan Franko, the story is close and understandable to everyone. Sound and rhythm, songs of the Carpathian region and the sound of drums are at the heart of the performance. 
The performance directed by Irina Volytska from Lviv, Ukraine was presented with great success in Moscow (Dramatic Art and Direction Centre) and Berlin (Russian House of Science and Culture).
Surgut Theatre is one of the youngest theatres in Western Siberia and the largest professional theatre of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra. More than 60 premieres of classic and modern drama were created at the theatre in over 20 years.
