The Head of the Russian Language Department at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) Marina Kunovski and senior lecturer at the Russian Language Department of the RUDN University Galina Myers told about the textbook, its structure and general content. The authors offered basic situations for everyday communication of a bilingual child in the absence of a Russian language environment. It is noted that the textbook contains all the necessary material that prepares students for intermediate and final testing in the Russian language.

The heroes of the book acquaint students with all of the sounds and letters of the Russian language, its cases, as well as with the rules of speech etiquette. The book facilitates students’ active participation in the learning process.

Testing of materials was carried out on the basis of the Russian school "Znaniye" (London). The teachers of the school shared their experience in applying the language learning techniques and provided their insights. As part of the discussion on the approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language, it was noted that it is necessary to revise school spelling rules and simplify wording.

The textbook was developed by the RUDN team (Moscow, Russia) with support of the "Znaniye" school (London, UK). Project Manager - Angela Dolzhikova.
