British schoolchildren take exams in Russian language

The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK is hosting traditional final exams in Russian as a foreign language for secondary school graduates (GCSE). The GCSE exams consist of compulsory and optional subjects. Examinations in English, mathematics and science are compulsory. The students choose the rest of the subjects, including a foreign language, at their own discretion. According to the report of the Joint Council for Qualifications of the United Kingdom, the number of people willing to take exams in the Russian language is steadily growing. Certified specialists from "Znaniye" education centre administer the exams at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the UK. The tests will continue until mid-May 2019.
