A lesson dedicated to Yuri Gagarin “Cosmos is us. Gagarin’s lesson.” was held for the participants of the technological camp based at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London.

The children heard greetings from the ISS (International Space Station) and saw footage of the launch and landing of the Vostok-1 spacecraft. School children also learned about the first cosmonaut’s stay in the spacecraft’s cabin from an archival interview with Yuri Gagarin filmed by the BBC service in July 1961.

The Russian school of mathematics and programming based at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London organises technological camps on a regular basis. In the course of the camps, children study robotics, the basics of programming, designing and creating autonomous systems.

“Gagarin’s lesson” was held with support of the State Corporation for Space Activity “ROSKOSMOS”.
