Alexei Demchenko performed a concert of Russian music in London

The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London hosted a concert of Russian piano music performed by Alexei Demchenko. The pianist performed musical pieces by P. Tchaikovsky, A. Scriabin and S. Rachmaninov.

Alexei Demchenko began studying piano at the age of six. He graduated from the Kaliningrad Regional College of Music named after S.V. Rachmaninov (class of Professor Vladimir Dmitrievich Slobodyan) and the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. Tchaikovsky (class of Professor Irina Viktorovna Osipova). At the age of 17, he made his debut when he performed the Brahms Concerto No. 1 with the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra. Alexei successfully performed at venues such as the Small and Great Halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the Royal Festival Hall in London. He took part in festivals in Spain, Austria, Denmark, Germany and England.

Alexei has won many competitions in Europe and Russia, not only as a soloist, but also as an accompanist. He collaborated with soloists of the Bolshoi Theater Svetlana Kasyan, Albina Latipova and Alina Yarovaya. The pianist’s repertoire includes piano concerts by Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.

In 2018, Alexey successfully graduated from the Royal College of Music in London (class of Dmitry Konstantinovich Alekseev).
