The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London hosted a concert of classical music by pianist Natalia Kartasheva. The concert was performed in the new Piano & Comix format presented. Piano & Comix is a modern and unusual presentation of well-known compositions in the format of musical performance accompanied by video illustrations that help reveal the meaning of the story.
The first piece presented in this format was Henryk Ibsen's “Peer Gynt”.
It was this piece that inspired that Edvard Grieg to create his most popular works: "Morning" and "In the Cave of the Mountain King." The audience got acquainted with small excerpts from the play with descriptions of the main storylines and heard versions of selected songs by the Norwegian composer perfornmed by Natalia Kartasheva.
The illustrations were created by young Russian artists Maria Repina, Ivan Bondarchuk, Natalia Kalianidi and Alena Podnebnnaya.
