An exhibition of opera portraits opened in London

Representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in London hosted an exhibition of works by Alla Simonova-Tkachuk "Opera Portraits." Portraits of such renowned opera singers as Sir John Tomlinson, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Sir Bryn Terfel, Dame Felicity Lott, Angela Gheorghiu, Sir Willard White, Sir Thomas Allen, Jose Cura, and Marcelo Alvarez depict them in their roles in the famous Royal Opera House productions.

Created by Russian artist Alla Tkachuk-Simonova following her interactions with the singers at the Royal Opera House, the paintings were exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and sold as prints at the Royal Opera House Shop.

Alla Simonova-Tkachuk also paints for specialized publications and runs art seminars. Among the works of Alla are the famous portraits of Prince Charles, Queen of the Ballet Dame Ninetet de Valois and ex-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Osipov. Works of the painter were published on the front pages of The Times newspaper in Britain and Bild in Germany, as well as The Guardian, Independent and other mass media. Alla Simonova-Tkachuk is a member of the Royal Society of Arts.
